Roles & responsibilities

  • Be the interface between State, Central Government and the KDEM team to implement programs.
  • Assist in drafting State Startup Policy and create awareness among startups about the policy benefits.
  • Organise workshops and meetings with startups to comprehend their challenges and document their interactions with mentors, partners, investors and corporates.
  • Foster entrepreneurship and build a startup ecosystem across the last mile.
  • Handhold the state in Fund of Funds, Procurement, Awareness, Outreach, etc.
  • Provide support to Government officials for formulating policies, schemes, measures, etc. for developing the Startup ecosystem.
  • Address ad hoc requests such as preparation of talking points, reports, briefs, etc.
  • Create program briefs for startups and assist them in onboarding and active participation throughout the program.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders & ensure participation and involvement in KDEM’s initiatives.
  • Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness.

Skills Required

  • 1-2 years of Experience with Govt./VC/Trade Bodies /Consulting/ Policy/Sectoral expertise shall be an added advantage
  • Experience in Investment Promotion, Policy facilitation, and Project Management with the State Govt. or Govt. of India (will be an added advantage)
  • Excellent Research, Communications, and Analytical Skills
  • Ability to work amid strict deadlines and on multiple projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Kannada language proficiency (will be an added advantage)
  • Understanding of the Startup ecosystem shall be helpful
  • Confident in presenting to and engaging with external stakeholders
