Roles & responsibilities

Strategy & Stakeholder Management:

  • Evangelize & position “Bengaluru & Beyond” cities (Mysuru, Hubli, Mangalore, Shivamogga, Kalaburagi, and Belagavi) as emerging destinations for key IT/ITES, CoE, ESDM, and the thrust areas.
  • To identify and create plug and play facilities for attracting businesses to relocate or co-locate in partnership with the “Beyond Bangalore” cluster specific advisory committee members.
  • To create a significant growth pipeline for an identified cluster, partner with existing “Bengaluru & Beyond” clusters leads and committee members to attract corporates (International Companies, Indian Multinational, Startups/MSMEs.
  • Conduct regular research & survey of the existing demand data of corporates that are currently being supported by talent from “Bengaluru & Beyond” clusters
  • Design & implement a pull strategy to retain and grow cluster specific talent.
  • Build outreach programs with State, corporates, investors & accelerators.
  • Forge partnerships in promoting and branding “Bengaluru & Beyond” and its activities across various clusters.
  • Be the “Go To” person for all the “Bengaluru & Beyond” clusters to clearly articulate the government specific incentives that are available for innovation, growth, and development for the respective clusters.
  • Engage business leaders and entrepreneurs to develop and drive a distributed delivery model or the “SUPPLY” side of the “Bengaluru & Beyond” initiative through technology enablement.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Create and promote all “Bengaluru & Beyond” market facing programs – develop campaigns in lines of “Incredible India’ campaign.
  • Encourage & motivate industries to setup base across all “Bengaluru & Beyond” clusters by partnering with – GCC Service providers, Co-working/Managed Space Developers, Real Estate Developers, Infrastructure Companies (Internet, Telecom, etc.), Training & Up skilling Organizations, and Industry Body Associations.
  • Build, train and develop critical team members who will forge the “Bengaluru & Beyond” initiative.
  • Organize events across clusters in collaboration with educational & research institutions to bridge the corporate/academia gap.
  • Conduct fund raising events for “Bengaluru & Beyond”.
  • Develop and execute strategy for setting up, attracting and onboarding qualified IT/ITES corporates.
  • Partner with the Government of Karnataka, Steering Committee, investors and Foundations and stakeholders for the full success of programs.
  • Partner Startup & Innovation team to cross utilizes resources and build a forum to listen understand challenges and requirements for both verticals
  • Create robust frameworks for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learnings of th each cluster & drive timely analysis of quantitative data and qualitative feedback to measure differential Impact of program.
  • Provide integrated intelligence from results and customer feedback.
  • Build and Maintain database to track progress and growth.

Skills Required

15+ years of total work experience managing large initiatives/programs

  • Well networked and played a senior executive or leadership role in a corporate or is a successful entrepreneur.
  • Worked in Investment promotion area.
  • Experience in handling Government Relations, stakeholder management of corporates & senior management and investors.
  • Have an understanding on Policy and Regulations in this ecosystem.
  • Ability to raise funds.
  • Background or exposure to marketing & community partnership.
  • Strong network in India Investment Promotion ecosystem with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills; ability to build and grow relationships.
  • Resourceful and ability to operate in a fast-changing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and handling a variety of responsibilities.
  • Ability to take sound decision based on evidence.
  • Passion to succeed and go getter.
  • Demonstrated high standard of ethics and integrity.
