Summary
Karnataka Digital Economy Mission in association with TiE Bangalore, YourStory & Crowd Product organised CrowdPitch MXR at the KEONICS Building, HSR Layout, Bengaluru to kick off the new year with an outstanding session of startup pitches, investor insights, and expert recommendations.
In total, five startups participated in the event with equal number of investors being present. Out of the five startups that presented, four were from Beyond Bengaluru clusters viz. Mysuru, Mangaluru & Hubballi-Dharwad-Belagavi. These four startups were the winners of the Beyond Bengaluru Blue events held at the three above mentioned clusters that saw participation from more than 100+ startups.
This event was done to ensure these startups are given easy access to capital and provide them an equitable opportunity to scale up their operations. The pitching event was followed by a panel discussion by the investors moderated by Dr. Madanmohan Rao. The panel discussion threw light on the investors roadmap in 2023 and was followed by a QnA session.
Prior to this event, a coaching session was conducted virtually on January 16th where Dr. Madanmohan Rao, Research Director, YourStory helped refine the pitch decks of startups and gave them tips on storytelling and cited a few examples as well
