Role Responsibilities

KDEM Fellowship Programme
KDEM Fellowship provides young professionals an opportunity to be part of an exciting team
which works on policy drafting, advocacy and implementation aimed at fostering innovation and Startups ecosystem in Karnataka. The position will also give you an excellent opportunity
to be mentored by the whos’ who of the Tech industry and the industry organisations. The
fellowship is an opportunity for young professionals to contribute towards creating social and
economic impact at scale while building their own leadership skills and entrepreneurial
abilities.
- The fellowship is an on-ground, Full-time, paid commitment.
- You cannot undertake any other part-time or full-time work or study during the tenure of the Fellowship.

As an KDEM Fellow, you will work with one of our verticals full time for a period of 11
months as a part of a structured program that includes but isn’t limited to:
- Start-up and Innovation.
- ESDM
- IT/ITEs and GCC
- Talent Accelerator
- Beyond Bengaluru
This program will be the right platform for those who are looking for a career in growing the
digital economy of the region/state/country in partnership with Industry/Academia and
Government.
Duration: 11months
Eligibility:
Undergraduate or post graduate degree in business administration economics, law, engineering,
pure sciences, journalism, commerce, etc.
KDEM is looking for highly motivated candidates with passion to learn and grow. Listed below
are the requirements for KDEM fellowship:
- The applicants should be of Indian Nationality.
Note: The candidates should hold an Indian passport or should be eligible to hold one.
- They should hold an undergraduate degree in any discipline.
Note: The candidates should hold an undergraduate degree before joining the KDEM
fellowship. Those who are going to graduate shortly after the commencement of the
fellowship cannot join the program.
- The candidates should not be over 28 years of age.
- Have at least 1 year of work experience/internship experience in innovation and Startups, investment promotion, strategy consulting, high growth start-up in the digital economy field or with think tanks.
- Are a budding / aspiring entrepreneur with a vision to change the world.
- Have previously managed projects end to end in a high rigour environment.
- Recommendations from previous employers/institution head/director.
The KDEM fellowship offers an opportunity to be mentored by the Senior Leadership of
KDEM and other industries associated with KDEM for eleven months. The benefits of the
KDEM fellowship experience are as follows:
- The fellows will learn about the policies and how these tools are leveraged for growing digital economy and start-ups.
- Fellowship certificate from KDEM.
- The fellows will get a chance to prepare thought papers/white papers, research reports/publications and draft press releases.
- They will learn more about interacting with MNCs, large companies and their CXOs with an intent to attract more investments and expansions in Beyond Bengaluru regions.
- The fellowship will enable the candidates to hone their analytical and leadership skills
- The fellows will get an opportunity to work with KDEM on completion of the fellowship
- The skills learnt through the course of this program will be exceptionally valuable and the connections made will last well beyond the Fellowship experience.
- Each Fellow will be paid a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000; in addition to reimbursements for any travel expenses incurred for field research during the program
Selection process
Each year, the KDEM Fellowship will accept a maximum of 8 Fellows into the program. The
candidates will be selected after a rigorous process. The process will involve three stages as
follows:-
1. Paper submission on specific subject
2. Case Study presentation
3. Interview by the Selection Board

- Announcement of shortlisted candidates – 23rd June
- Paper Submission by shortlisted candidates - 7 th July
- Case Study & Presentation – starting 10th July to 17 th July
- Interviews - 24th to 28th July
