Innovate Together: Exploring the India Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund
About I4F
I4F is a cooperation between the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and the National Technological Innovation Authority in Israel (Innovation Authority) to promote, facilitate and support joint industrial R&D projects, between companies from India and Israel.
DST and Innovation Authority have jointly created a $40 Mn USD I4F fund with equal contribution from both sides over the period of five years. The objective of this programme is to respond to the global issues concerning science & technology while developing technologies that can be commercialized and localized within 2 years through Joint cooperation between India and Israel.
In India, on behalf of DST, funding and other services will be provided through TDB and in Israel, funding and other services will be provided through Israel Innovation Authority.
Financial Assistance to Feasibility Study Projects, Pilot Projects & R&D Projects upto USD 2,500,000
Funding shall be in the form of Grants/Conditional Grants
Funding upto 70% for startups less than 5 years-old (whichever is lower)
Till date,
9 Calls for proposals have beencompleted
$30 Mn Project Funding has been facilitated
25 Joint projects have been approved
ELigibility
INDIA
The Indian Project Lead (INPL) company applying for the project must be incorporated in India under the Companies Act 2013, and at least 51% owned by Indian citizens over the total duration of the project.
ISRAEL
The Israeli Project Lead (INPL) company applying for the project must be a for-profit R&D-performing company, registered and operating in Israel.
SUBCONTRACTORS
Academic institutions, Research entities, other R&D institutes are eligible to participate as Sub-contractors or Project Partners as per the
