Agafonova actively connects Russian IT companies with India’s fast-growing digital ecosystem and promotes Russian IT and electronics collaborations internationally. Speaking at the meeting, Minister Kharge said, “Karnataka is happy to welcome and support all the companies who are looking at market access, partnership or collaboration building or even setting up their manufacturing units here.”

Ahead of the Bengaluru Tech Summit, a high-level Russian trade delegation met Karnataka IT Minister Priyank Kharge on Wednesday here to explore opportunities for tech collaboration with the state, officials said.

The delegation, composed of senior officials and representatives from leading Russian IT and technology firms, will explore opportunities for technology collaboration between Russian and Indian companies in Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Smart City Technologies, and Digital Engineering Solutions, they said.

The Karnataka government will be calling the next 10 years the ‘Deep Tech Decade’, as we are building a solid foundation of skills by reskilling and upskilling individuals in emerging technologies,” said IT-BT Minister Priyank Kharge. 

Shri Priyank M. Kharge, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Government of Karnataka — often hailed as the State’s ‘Deep-Tech Minister’  drew attention to Karnataka’s role in powering India’s deeptech ambitions. With “Unlocking India’s DeepTech Potential” as the theme, the forum, organised by the Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA), served as a platform for policymakers, investors, and founders to discuss India’s deeptech ambitions.

The Karnataka government is considering a new policy that would allow deep tech startups to pilot their solutions with government departments on a small scale. If the pilot proves successful, the state will endorse the technology to encourage wider adoption, said Karnataka’s Information Technology Minister Priyank Kharge.
