2023 saw only two unicorn companies (VCfunded startups valued at $1 billion or more), while 21 were created in 2022 and a record 44 in 2021. Yearend unicorns by quick commerce startup Zepto (which attracted $231 million led by foreign investors in August 2023), consumer and small business loan firm Incred Finance (which attracted $60 million from domestic family offices and HNIs) Added to the list.
