India’s fast-expanding Global Capability Centre (GCC) ecosystem seems to be entering a decisive new phase as multinational companies increasingly tap domestic IT service providers for co-innovation, rapid capability build and AI-driven transformation. A new industry report from IT industry body Nasscom, R Systems and Oliver Wyman shows that GCCs are evolving far beyond their traditional captive roots, with service providers emerging as core partners across strategy, engineering and operations in 2025.
