The proposed changes to the H-1B visa process for speciality occupations could narrow the scope of applicants who qualify for the visa, IT industry body NASSCOM said in a preliminary note. On October 23, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released a proposed rule intended to modernise, improve and increase flexibility in the H-1B visa programme.
