Haryana tops the region with the largest number of recognized startups at 6,066 followed by Punjab with 1,253. Out of the total 1.14 lakh startups in India recognised by the department for promotion of industry and internal trade (DPIIT), Himachal Pradesh accounts for 397 and Chandigarh (UT) 398.
