SGOU to launch global digital library with CUSAT collaboration

In a move to globalise its academic services, Sreenarayana Guru Open University (SGOU) is set to establish a state-of-the-art public digital library accessible round the clock from anywhere in the world. The project, designed to benefit students, researchers, and the general public alike, will be formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the university and CUSAT’s Cusatech Foundation on March 16. Developed on a ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) model, the digital library aims to provide seamless access to vast knowledge resources, particularly for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Karnataka clears ₹4,824 crore industrial investments expected to create over 14,500 jobs

The government of Karnataka has approved industrial projects worth ₹4,824.31 crore that are expected to generate 14,525 new employment opportunities in the state, according to a report by Press Trust of India.Industries Minister M B Patil stated that the approvals were granted during the 158th meeting of the Karnataka State Level Single Window Approval Committee.
