India is likely to announce a 40 nm semiconductor fabrication unit under the modified semiconductor investment scheme, along with multiple compound fab proposals. The Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar stated this, while also informing that the rollout from the fab will be within two to three years of the announcement.
