The collaboration is in the form of a very large-scale integration (VLSI) talent acceleration initiative built on Golden Electronics’ acquisition of multiple licenses for Synopsys’ leading electronic design automation (EDA) software, educational design kits and microelectronics curriculum.
This will help root the expertise and systems required to facilitate chip manufacturing. In fact, American company Micron recently said it will invest up to Rs825 million in a chip testing and packaging facility in India.
The approved projects span across various sectors, including metal downstream and ancillary, chemicals, food processing, agro processing, plastics, textiles apparel, IT & ESDM (Electronics System Design and Manufacturing), and renewable energy.
