Speaking at the Semicon India 2023 conference in Gandhinagar, on Saturday, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, minister of state for electronics and IT hinted that government will expand the design linked incentive (DLI) scheme for semiconductor companies to include larger companies both local and foreign to promote semiconductor designing in India.
