Semiconductor GCCs set to add 10,000 jobs in India
Semiconductor global capability centres (GCCs) in India are expected to add 8,000-10,000 employees this year, taking the sector’s workforce to about 80,000, as chip companies expand their India operations amid a global surge in demand for chips used in artificial intelligence and data centres, according to industry estimates. About 80% of the expected headcount growth will come from existing GCCs and 20% from new centres, said Pareekh Jain, chief
