Talent Accelerator aims to bridge the supply and demand gap of skilled talent across emerging IT hubs in Karnataka through its strategic interventions such as competency building for fresh graduates and existing workforce in future skills through industry-academic collaboration.
Apple is set to launch its first-ever Apple Education Hub in India, marking a significant step in the company's efforts to upskill its supply chain workforce. Starting in March 2026, the hub will operate from a dedicated facility in Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The initiative aims to provide practical training in coding, robotics, and modern manufacturing technologies to employees across Apple's supply chain in India.
India has trained over 67,000 semiconductor engineers in four years as the government prepares to sharpen its focus on chip design, equipment, and materials under the upcoming Semicon 2.0 mission, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, said.

Over one lakh individuals have enrolled in India’s chip design training programmes, with around 67,000 already trained so far, according to the government. The initiative is being driven by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to strengthen India’s capabilities in semiconductor design.
India’s information technology sector experienced a notable 16 per cent increase in hiring in 2025, according to a new industry report, reflecting sustained demand for digital skills amid rapid technological transformation. The report highlights that organisations across tech, fintech, ecommerce and digital services have stepped up recruitment, particularly for roles in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics and cybersecurity. This uptick underscores how companies are prioritising capabilities that support digital transformation agendas and future-ready operating models.
The Work in Sweden Bengaluru Talent Fair, organized by the Embassy of Sweden in India in collaboration with Region Gothenburg, the Swedish Institute, and Business Sweden, saw an impressive response from highly skilled professionals. The event drew almost 200 experienced IT and engineering professionals, indicating a clear surge in interest from Indian talent eager to join Sweden’s thriving innovation driven workforce.
