The Karnataka govt has recognised 146 start ups under its flagship Elevate 2025 programme, extending Rs 38.8 crore in grant support to early-stage ventures, underscoring the state’s continued push to strengthen its startup ecc system. Of the selected start ups, 43% are women-lec while an equal proportion are based outside Bengaluru, reflecting a focus on inclusive and regionally balanced entrepreneurship.
With the ambition of providing greater encouragement to entrepreneurship over the next five years and developing Karnataka into a global innovation hub, the state government has unveiled the new Startup Policy 2025–2030, said Information Technology and Biotechnology Minister Priyank Kharge.

The startups that were rewarded under ELEVATE programme, included 103 ELEVATE 2025 winners, 33 ELEVATE Unnati (which supports start-ups by the SC/ST community) winners and 10 ELEVATE Minorities (empowering entrepreneurs from Minority communities) 2025 start-ups with a total committed grant of Rs 38.85 crores.
According to a government statement, the state has allocated INR 570.675 crore for the policy. The framework focuses on improving access to funding, expanding incubation infrastructure, enabling market access, and easing regulatory processes for early-stage companies.
The Karnataka govt has recognised 146 start ups under its flagship Elevate 2025 programme, extending Rs 38.8 crore in grant support to early-stage ventures, underscoring the state’s continued push to strengthen its startup ecc system. Of the selected start ups, 43% are women-lec while an equal proportion are based outside Bengaluru, reflecting a focus on inclusive and regionally balanced entrepreneurship.
With the ambition of providing greater encouragement to entrepreneurship over the next five years and developing Karnataka into a global innovation hub, the state government has unveiled the new Startup Policy 2025–2030, said Information Technology and Biotechnology Minister Priyank Kharge.
The traditional landscape for young talent has long been a binary choice: the structured, “publish or perish” world of academia or the high-velocity, profit-driven engine of a venture-backed startup.
The Kallakurichi district administration on Wednesday launched village startup communities at Sathanur and Naranampatti in Kallakurichi district, under the State’s flagship ‘Gramam Thorum Puthozhil Scheme’.

The programme aims to strengthen India’s deep-tech and technology-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem.
