The gathering was part of Shackathon 2026, a Goa government-backed event held along Baga beach that brought together startup founders, investors, creators and policymakers around the idea of building companies from Goa. A stretch of beachside shacks had been converted into workspaces as the state attempted to position itself as a destination for startups, remote workers and niche technology companies through a “work from beach” model.

Toyota signs agreement to invest Rs 1,200 crore on BizIntel Hub
Toyota’s COO and Director of Special Projects, Sudeep Dalvi, and S Selvakumar, Principal Secretary, Department of Industries, Government of Karnataka, signed and exchanged the agreement in the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Industries Minister M B Patil.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister assured full support to the company and said he was delighted to learn that this would be the first facility of its kind in the world.
