The Karnataka Budget 2026–27 has placed Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the centre of the state’s vision for technological progress, inclusive development and efficient governance. As one of India’s leading hubs for technology and innovation, Karnataka aims to leverage AI to transform public services, strengthen human development and prepare its citizens for the emerging digital economy.

Indian enterprises are not easing into AI; they are hard-wiring it into the core of their operations. Almost every major organisation now uses AI in customer-facing products. But this rapid adoption has exposed an uncomfortable truth. Governance frameworks have not kept pace with the speed of innovation.

The annual Raisina Dialogue is set to begin in the national capital region on Thursday, bringing together global leaders, policymakers and technology experts to debate the future of geopolitics, geo-economics and emerging technologies under the theme “SamskaraOrganised by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF) in partnership with India’s Ministry of External Affairs, the three-day conference from March 5 to 7 is examining how technological disruption, strategic competition and economic security are reshaping global politics.
