Central University of Tamil Nadu and University of Southern Brittany, France, sign MoU for academic cooperation
The MoU was signed by Prof. R. Thirumurugan, Registrar, CUTN, and Prof. David Menier, President, University of Southern Brittany, in the presence of Prof. M. Krishnan, Vice-Chancellor, at the CUTN campus in Thiruvarur. This MoU establishes a structured framework for academic and scientific cooperation between the two institutions over the next three years.
Micron’s ATMP plant a key first step in India’s semiconductor ambitions
The inauguration of Micron’s semiconductor facility for assembly, test, marking, and packaging (ATMP) in Sanand, Gujarat, marks a tangible advance in India’s ambitions in this respect. Karnataka Budget 2026-27: Raise education allocation to 15%, say educationists
Experts are urging the government to increase the allocation for the education sector to at least 15 per cent of the total state budget, drawing comparisons with states such as Himachal Pradesh and Kerala.
“Last year education received about 11.2 per cent of the total budget… That should be our benchmark. Education is a priority sector and deserves a minimum of 15 per cent allocation,” said Educationist Niranjanaradhya V P.
They argue that without a substantial increase, structural issues such as faculty shortages and rising dropout rates will persist.

Karnataka bolsters investment in tech partnerships; signs two letters of intent at AI Impact Summit
The state department of electronics, information technology, biotechnology and science and technology has signed two letters of intent (LoIs) on Thursday on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit being held in New Delhi.
