Quantum computing startup QpiAI has partnered with Alliance University to set up a quantum computing experience centre in Bengaluru, providing access to what the companies said is India’s first commercially available 8-qubit superconducting quantum system, as the country pushes to build domestic capability under its National Quantum Mission (NQM).

1M1B Foundation, in collaboration with Microsoft, MeitY Startup Hub and the Government of Karnataka, has set up a Green Skills and Applied AI for Climate Action Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The facility is the first of five centres proposed under a national programme to build a climate-skilled workforce.

Karnataka’s tech ecosystem raised $3.8 billion in 2025, driven by strong early-stage funding momentum, IT/BT minister Priyank Kharge said in a social media post.”With early-stage deals leading funding activity and fintech emerging as a key contributor, the state continues to strengthen its position as a national hub for innovation and ecosystem-led growth,” Kharge said on X.

Bengaluru-based indigenous quantum computing company, QpiAI and Alliance University, a State private university based in Bengaluru, have announced a partnership to set up the AU QUASAR (Quantum AI School for Advanced Research) quantum computing experience centre at Alliance University’s Electronic City campus.
