Nvidia declined to comment. The AI chip market is projected to more than double by 2027, to roughly $140 billion, according to the research firm Gartner. Venerable chipmakers like AMD and Intel are also building specialized A.I. chips, as are start-ups such as Cerebras and SambaNova.
