Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday said India is building a complete semiconductor ecosystem, and the global industry sees the country as an increasingly reliable supply-chain partner.

In a post on X, Vaishnaw was seen holding meetings at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

He said, “Bharat is building a complete semiconductor ecosystem covering design, fabrication, packaging, materials, gases and equipment.”

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi met Panama’s ministers at WEF 2026 to strengthen bilateral cooperation in renewable energy and clean technology. Separately, Uttar Pradesh signed a landmark MoU with AM Green Group for a one-gigawatt AI computing hub in Greater Noida, involving a massive Rs 2.7 lakh crore investment. The 2026 forum features India’s biggest delegation, a major pavilion, and roadshows led by several chief ministers to attract investment. Over 100 top Indian CEOs are also present, engaging with global investors to secure capital for India’s growth.
