Karnataka unveils Startup Policy 2025–30, setting the roadmap for the state’s Deep Tech decade

The Department of Electronics, IT & BT, Government of Karnataka has unveiled the Karnataka Startup Policy 2025–2030, laying out an ambitious blueprint to position the state as a global innovation and deep-tech hub over the next five years. The policy was launched as part of National Startup Month during a felicitation ceremony in Bengaluru honouring 146 Idea2PoC winners under the ELEVATE 2025 programme.

K’taka backs 146 startups with Rs 38.5cr grant

The Karnataka govt has recognised 146 start ups under its flagship Elevate 2025 programme, extending Rs 38.8 crore in grant support to early-stage ventures, underscoring the state’s continued push to strengthen its startup ecc system. Of the selected start ups, 43% are women-lec while an equal proportion are based outside Bengaluru, reflecting a focus on inclusive and regionally balanced entrepreneurship.

Blackstone finalises structured investment deal in AI cloud startup Neysa

US firm Blackstone has finalised a structured investment in Mumbai-based Al cloud startup Neysa, initially putting in $50-75 million. The deal allows Blackstone to increase its stake to a controlling position if certain business milestones are met. Neysa was last valued at $120-130 million, and has raised $50 million in funding across two rounds till now.
