HYDERABAD: Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) announced on Friday that IT exports in Telangana had increased by 31.4 percent in 202223, according to data by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and NASSCOM. Replying to questions by members on IT exports during the Assembly session on Friday, KTR said that over 6 lakh IT jobs were generated in Telangana after its inception and several IT companies had established their largest campus with world class facilities in Hyderabad.

Rama Rao said that the data was released by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and NASSCOM. Speaking during Question Hour in the Assembly on Friday, he said that Telangana was set to become the first State in the country to introduce legislation specifically targeting Cyber Crimes. During the fiscal year 202223, the state recorded IT exports to the extent of 2,41,275 crore, an increase of 57,706 crore compared to the previous fiscal 202122, the highest annual rise of 31.4 per cent, according to data by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and NASSCOM, the IT minister said.
