Karnataka and Dusseldorf have signed a Letter of Intent to boost cooperation in innovation and technology. The aim is to support startups from both regions by enhancing market access and building institutional partnerships. This collaboration underscores both regions’ commitment to creating global innovation corridors
The agreement will look to create structured pathways for startups from both regions to access new markets, including soft-landing support, mentorship and closer integration with local innovation ecosystems, Karnataka’s Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology said in a statement.
The Karnataka government on Tuesday signed a Letter of Intent with the City of Dusseldorf, North Rhine-Westphalia of Germany, with an aim to deepen bilateral cooperation in innovation, startups, and technology-led growth, officials said.
In 2022, the US–India partnership inaugurated the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET), focused on cooperation in semiconductors, AI, quantum computing, wireless communication, especially for defence and security applications

Robotics logistics provider Exol is set to establish a global capability centre (GCC) in Chennai and Mumbai as it looks to scale its operations and fuel platform growth.
The facility will be set up under an agreement between House of Shipping and InfoSun to support the company’s robotic logistics platform serving manufacturers, consumer packaged goods companies, and retailers.
Located in Phase-8 of Mohali’s Industrial Area, the upgrade aims to transform SCL from a legacy fabrication unit into a future-ready semiconductor hub capable of supporting advanced chip development, prototyping and manufacturing. Officials said the overhaul will significantly strengthen infrastructure, introduce modern fabrication technologies and expand production capacity to meet rising industry demand.
