In a first of its kind initiative in India, the Karnataka Agriculture Department is preparing to introduce an Artificial Intelligence-powered platform to provide farmers with region-specific advisories and real-time information.

As a significant step towards advancing the state’s digital strategy, the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), Silicon Beach Programme (SBP), and Deloitte jointly submitted a feasibility study report titled “Mangaluru: India’s Next Potential Data Centre Hub” to the Government of Karnataka today.

Karnataka govt and VCs distribute Rs 400 crore to deep tech startups
The Karnataka government along with venture capitalists on Thursday disbursed Rs 400 crore funding to Al and deep tech startups at the Future Makers Conclave, Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025. Some of the venture capitalist firms include Rainmatter by Zerodha, Speciale Invest, Accel, Avaana Capital and Ideaspring Capital, among others.
