IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge on Sunday announced that the Bengaluru Tech Sum-mit (BTS) 2025, which con-cluded on November 20, saw a 37% reduc-tion in carbon emis-sion. The summit was conducted un-der Kharge, who for-mally concluded the event as well.

The Karnataka government announced the launch of a new Centre for Entrepreneurship in Kalaburagi under its flagship LEAP (Local Economy Accelerator Program), a ₹1,000 crore, five-year initiative designed to supercharge regional entrepreneurship, decentralize innovation, and accelerate economic growth across the state’s emerging tech clusters.
Through the new centre, the government will look to decentralise innovation and strengthen agritech and deeptech entrepreneurship in the Kalyana Karnataka region. It will be equipped with a 15,000 sq. ft. startup hub and prototyping lab.
This marks a significant step toward Karnataka’s goal of building globally connected, industry-led digital ecosystems that deliver strong outcomes for communities, businesses, and emerging innovation clusters across the state.
